BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich

Time: 20 min for the pulled chicken, 7 min for the sandwich!
The best K-BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwhich recipe you’ll find, of course because it’s made with our Oh Na Mi Koreaanse BBQ Saus! A fusion of the Dutch sandwich culture with some Korean influences which brings together all the best parts of both worlds. The hot, smokey and sweet notes of the BBQ sauce are perfectly balanced by the freshness of the vegetables. All combined in a delicious sandwich.
Ingredients
Pulled chicken
- 300g chicken thighs
- 2 cubes of chicken bouillon - or 1L of chicken stock
- 1L water
- 50g Oh Na Mi Koreaanse BBQ Saus
Sandwich
- 1 sandwich bread of your choice
- 1-2 tbs mayonaise (like Oh Na Mi Kimchi Mayo)
- 1 small carrot
- 1/4 cucumber
- 2 big leaves of lettuce
- 100g of pulled chicken
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbs of water
- 1 tbs neutral oil

Pulled chicken
- Bring the water to a boil and dissolve the cubes. Add in the chicken thighs.
- Boil for 12-15 min, or until the chicken is fully cooked, but save the broth*!
- Pull apart the chicken with 2 forks.
- Toss them in the Oh Na Mi Koreaanse BBQ Saus to coat them
Sandwich
- Put your bread in the oven on 180C for 10 min - or airfryer for 6
- Cut in the meantime the carrot and cucumber in thin slices
- Mix the egg and the water in a bowl
- Heat a pan with oil
- When the pan is hot, add in the egg. Use chopsticks so scramble the eggs a little and then let it sit until it’s almost cooked. Fold it through the middle and let it cook 1-2 more minutes
- When the bread is done, take it out of the oven and cut it open.
- Apply Oh Na Mi Kimchi Mayo to both insides of the sandwhich, add lettuce, the vegetables, the omelet and the pulled chicken
*The broth can still be used to deepen the flavor of other dishes. You can use is for example in the Savory Oatmeal or even in the Sundubu Kimchi Jjigae
Troubleshooting and Tips:
- My chicken was not fully cooked in that time.. - Not to worry! You can pop it back in to the water and boil it for another few minutes!
- Why make 300g when I only need 100? - Because it’s great to have some extra on hand! Use it for
