Smoked Mackerel with Seaweed Sesame Soy in 4 steps

Simple ingredients, bold Korean-inspired flavor. This smoked mackerel is finished with our Seaweed Sesame Soy Sauce for a rich umami boost and topped with fresh coriander. Serve it as a BBQ side, light lunch, or appetizer while the main course is still on the grill.

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 1 whole smoked mackerel
  • 2–3 tbsp Oh Na Mi Seaweed Sesame Soy Sauce
  • A handful of fresh coriander, roughly chopped

Preparation

  1. Prepare the mackerel
    Carefully cut the smoked mackerel lengthwise and open it up like a butterfly. Remove any remaining bones if needed.
  2. Add the flavor
    Drizzle the Oh Na Mi Seaweed Sesame Soy Sauce generously over the mackerel, allowing the rich umami flavors to soak into the fish.
  3. Finish with freshness
    Scatter the chopped coriander over the top for a fresh, fragrant finish.
  4. Serve & enjoy
    Enjoy immediately as part of your BBQ spread, served with grilled vegetables, fresh bread, or alongside your favorite grilled meat.
